Getting to Lembongan from Sanur: A Seamless Journey to Paradise
If you’re planning a visit to Lembongan, getting there from Penida, Sanur or Lombok is a straightforward and hopefully enjoyable experience. Here are the options available to reach this idyllic island from the mainland:
From Penida
Get yourself over to Toyapakeh beach in the west of Penida and hop on a shuttle boat to the Yellow bridge between Ceningan and Lembongan. The boats run roughtly sunrise to sunset and cost 50,000 per person per way. Once in Lembongan you can catch a ”pick up” truck to your hotel. There are no regualr taxis here so its a case of bargin hard and keep a smile on your face!
From Sanur
Sanur now has a fancy new harbour with air conditioned departure building and piers that the fast boats moor upto. This means no more wet feet or luggage when boarding the boat. Fast boats start from 8.30am and the last boat is at 5pm. The boat ride typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on sea conditions with departures throughout the day, allowing you to choose a time that suits your travel plans.
Most fast boat operators offer convenient hotel transfers or pick-up services from major accommodations in South Bali. This eliminates the need to worry about transportation logistics, as you will be picked up from your hotel and transported directly to the boarding point. This seamless transfer service ensures a hassle-free experience and allows you to relax and enjoy the journey.
From Lombok
Since the COVID pandemic Scoot Fast Cruises seem to be the only boat operator running from Lombok (Gili’s) to Lembongan. Everyday they start from their base in Sanur and head over to Lembongan. After a quick stop its on to Bangsal in Lombok followed by Gili Air and then Gili Trawangan. The return trip is started early afternoon finishing up back in Sanur by 5pm.
